A Celebrity Roast of Jane Fonda @ The Georgia Aquarium Larry King, Dallas Austin, Big Boi, President Jimmy Carter, Even Ensler, Carrie Fisher, Rosie O'Donnell, Debbie Reynolds, Wanda Sykes, Chris Tucker and Ted Turner will come together for a magical and memorable evening honoring Jane Fonda. A Celebrity Roast of Jane Fonda will take place at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 7 p.m. Single tickets are available now for this fun and fabulous event benefiting the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP). Funds raised will further G-CAPP’s mission to eliminate adolescent pregnancy in Georgia by supporting programs that promote the development of healthy adolescents and families. For more than a decade, G-CAPP has implemented programs that have significantly reduced adolescent pregnancy in Georgia. Since 1991, birth rates in Georgia among 15-19 year olds declined 27 percent. Although this is good news, Georgia still ranks 43rd – eighth from the bottom – among the United States in its adolescent birth rate. G-CAPP’s annual fund raiser has been one of Atlanta’s most talked about affairs for the past ten years raising more than $5 million to benefit G-CAPP. Last year’s event, the exclusive east coast premiere of Monster-In-Law at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, raised more than $1 million and featured Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes and Jane Fonda. The Celebrity Roast will include a live auction that will allow guests to bid on several luxury trips and packages. Following the auction, guests will be treated to an evening of tributes and laughter as the roasters honor the life and accomplishments of Jane Fonda. Single tickets are available for $250.
