Erich Starrett, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief
Erich moved from Chicago to Atlanta in 1996. Amazed at Atlanta's potential to have a vibrant city center, Erich decided that he wanted to be a part of downtown Atlanta's revitalization and moved downtown shortly thereafter. His first objective was to break down the communications barriers and misperception and showcase downtown as a prime location to live, work and play. This journalism major began to send out a weekly email listing of events that were taking place in the downtown area. Eventually Erich began work to build a website to showcase his neighborhood and created downtownATL.com. His vision for downtownATL is that it will be a resource to those who live in Atlanta, work in Atlanta, and visit Atlanta. This site was created to be not just event listings, but also a place to visit for volunteer opportunities, information on downtown venues, and much more. Erich served as a active member, Director of the Board and ultimately President of the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association for nearly a decade. In January 2005, Erich stepped down from the ADNA to focus his energy on furthering his vision for downtownATL. Erich is a Senior Manager for Sprint Business Solutions Enterprise Sales Division, a member of the Executive Board of the World Trade Center of Atlanta and maintains the downtownATL.com newsletter and website on a volunteer basis.

Jennifer Starrett, Managing Editor and Reporter
Jennifer has always been fascinated by large cities - the skyscrapers, people milling about, and the energy in the air makes her feel her best. After securing a job in downtown Atlanta, Jennifer began to investigate ways to get involved with Atlanta and to give back to the community. She was introduced to the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Festival (a division of the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association), where she served on the volunteer committee. While planning for the festival she met many interesting people, including Erich, and determined that she really enjoyed the residents of downtown Atlanta and wanted to be their neighbor...and Erich to be her husband!
She packed up her things and moved from OTP to downtownATL. Her passion for writing and creativity made her a natural fit for downtownATL.com. She joined first as a reporter and was later named Managing Editor. Jennifer idoes legal research by day and helps to maintain the newsletter and website after work on a volunteer basis.
