Hello Crew!

Wednesday, February 26th 2003

The circus will be leaving town on Sunday and won't be back until next year, so now is your chance to see the "The Greatest Show on Earth" at Philips Arena.

Tomorrow, see some
chef's in action at the Downtowners monthly social event at Benihana. There will be samples of sushi and teppanyaki, your choice of a glass of Japanese beer or plum wine, and fabulous door prizes.

On Friday the Eos Orchestra will be
at The Rialto. The concert will feature American composer Aaron Copland’s Music for Movies, The Cummington Story, The City Suite (with film), and the complete ballet score of Appalachian Spring.

Saturday marks the GRAND OPENING of the highly anticipated Children's Museum of Atlanta.
The museum, located at the intersection of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Baker Street, is focused on providing an environment where fun and learning are synonymous. Upon entering, families are invited to put their imagination to the test as they participate in critical thinking activities, such as becoming a gardener, collaborating on building a giant maze or being the architect of a sand castle.

For more information on these events or any other events around town, check out the full details below. For events outside of the downtown area check out Atlanta Illustrated. This weeks highlights include...The Peachtree Social Club @ The Peachtree Tavern on Thursday, Martini Bingo @ Magnolia Hall, also on Thursday, and Mardi Gras Ball @ Andrews Upstairs on Saturday.

Hope to see y’all real soon

Contact @ The Fox Theatre

A musical without singers? Well, no -- there's Robert Palmer, Dion and the Belmonts, and The Beach Boys to name a few. A book musical with a minimum of talking? Yes, but Broadway's hottest director / choreographer wrote it with one of Broadway's most honored musical book writers. Time Magazine flat out hailed Contact for "kicking the dust off a tired old Broadway." They raved, "Contact is a trio of exquisitely tooled production numbers peopled with lonely hearts longing
to reach out to someone, and when they finally touch, your own heart does all the singing necessary."
