Speaking of CAVU, my good friend Kebo (http://www.hushbox.com), who is a leader in
the community driving cultural and racial diversity to new heights, has got a
smooth event on tap for THIS SUNDAY night! If youíre someone that RSVPs and doesnít show this is NOT
your scene. Kebo is serious about
his RSVP etiquette. Check out the
full scoop at http://www.hushbox.com/html/soul_stirring/cavu_hushbox_lounge.html
(and CONGRATS to Kebo and hometown ATLiens OUTKAST - Kebo worked on their 2002
Grammy award winning project as the prop stylist!)
And, on the driving cultural diversity tip ñ be sure to catch Kodac Harrison (http://www.KodacHarrison.com) at the
debut of ìLate Night Loungeî at the Alliance theatre - 11:00p Saturday night on
the Hertz Stage - - immediately following the conclusion of the regularly scheduled
play ìJar the Doorî. Heck,
why not get there early and hit BOTH!
For happenings
outside of the downtownATL area, ìAtlanta Illustratedî is your ticket (http://www.atlantaillustrated.com). Highlights this week include the
Cover Magazine launch party at eleven50 and the Young Careers of the High
Museum social at Sambuca Jazz CafÈ.
Finally, a HUGE thanks to Lynn Williamson of Central Atlanta Progress, whose
monthly newsletter ìdowntownlive this monthî I borrowed from HEAVILY this

Neil Diamond @ Philips Arena ñ SUN, MAR 10 8p
Neil
Diamond has cranked out so many AM radio pop ballads, he's become the vocal
track to muzak. But that's not saying that no one has paid much attention since
the '70s. Since 1980, when Diamond starred with Sir Laurence Olivier in the
film remake of "The Jazz Singer," he's become one of America's most
popular entertainers. His enormously successful soundtrack to the film went
quintuple-platinum and produced three Top 10 singles. Those who say that
Diamond is the next Liberace for the blue-rinse set should simply forget about
it. Diamond is touring in support of his 2001 release, "Three Chord
Opera." $37.50 - $67.50
