SUBJECT: downtownATL 03/02 II
Hello Crew!
The weekend starts
Wednesday this week! Start
out at Halo Lounge with Live Brilliantly!. Your $10 donation at the door will help to empower the
ladies of HeadZUp …not to mention buy you a cocktail and some good
vittles.
Then head on down to Trinity Downtown Lounge to celebrate our Pisces
friends’ birthdays! A BIG
downtownATL birthday shout out to Jennifer Metasavage, Patty Clark, Susan Roe,
and Larisa Slaughter!
First Thursdays hits downtown – you guessed it – Thursday
night. If you haven’t made
one – or even if you have – make it a point to check it out. The great pieces and cool places continue
to multiply and impress!
Feeling under appreciated?
Pablo’s got ya covered at Karma Friday night. Drop him a line and he’ll set you
up between 10p and 11p. See below
for full details.
Patroski’s “Hatters” hit Agave in Cabbagetown Sunday
afternoon for Jazz Brunch. And
then Mr. Neil Diamond ROCKS Philips Arena later hat night. (No Patroski and Neil are not the same
person…although I must say I’ve never seen them both at the same
time – we’re headed to Philips, P!)
For happenings outside of the downtownATL area, “Atlanta
Illustrated” is your ticket (http://www.atlantaillustrated.com).
Highlights this week include the Schmooze at Leopard Lounge Friday night
and the Cystic Fibrosis “Single Greatest Night” at Cobb Galleria on
Saturday.
Hope to see y’all real soon

Neil Diamond @ Philips Arena
– SUN, MAR 10 8p
Neil
Diamond has cranked out so many AM radio pop ballads, he's become the vocal
track to muzak. But that's not saying that no one has paid much attention since
the '70s. Since 1980, when Diamond starred with Sir Laurence Olivier in the
film remake of "The Jazz Singer," he's become one of America's most
popular entertainers. His enormously successful soundtrack to the film went
quintuple-platinum and produced three Top 10 singles. Those who say that
Diamond is the next Liberace for the blue-rinse set should simply forget about
it. Diamond is touring in support of his 2001 release, "Three Chord
Opera."
