Hello Crew!

The weekend kicks off TONIGHT with Wednesday Night Wind Down in Centennial Olympic Park featuring Euge Groove. Then head on over to this month's edition of Wednesday Night Drinking Club. The WNDC crew is bringing the party DOWNTOWN to the Abbey. A great venue for a large scale shindig - don't miss it!

Then, on Thursday night, Patroski brings his Square Hatted crew down to the Carter Center for a pre-4th of July celebration that includes a viewing of the
Declaration of Independence Exhibit. The exhibit leaves Atlanta on July 5th. What a GREAT opportunity to view a piece of Americana and skip the traditional bar scene for a night!

Attention Falcons fans! Season tickets can be purchased for as low as $100 for 10 games, only $10 a game!!

It's yet another good weekend for Downtown Atlanta's FREE concert series summer . Again (as usual) I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND taking MARTA - It'sMARTA!!!

Everything from jazz to contemporary music will be performed live on stage for you to enjoy. Performances are from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., in the Southern Company Amphitheater. Wednesday Night Drinking Club @ The Abbey
WED, JUN 26 7p

It has recently been brought to our attention that THE MANSION no longer meets the rigorous WNDC standards of excellence in party venues.  Though many of you have graciously pointed out that you would have been way too drunk to mind (or even notice) the lack of air conditioning on a summer night in an old house with a thousand or so of your sweatiest friends , we've opted to host this week's debacle at THE ABBEY (fully air conditioned & across the street from The Mansion), instead.
First round is on the house for the first 500 people.
Cover: $5**
HOSTS: Nathan Abbott, Brook Heaps, Mike Shady, Andrew Graves, Debbie Fertitta, Brittin Heaps, Nicole Parsons, Ben Levy, Patroski Lawsons, Mary Heather Hanley

Square Hat Cocktail Party @ The Carter Center
THU, JUN 27 6:30p

The next Square Hat Cocktail Party will be at the Carter Center Library on June 27th from 6:30-9:30 PM. The charity partner is St Jude's Children's Hospital. This PRE-JULY 4TH
Event will coincide with the Declaration of Independence Exhibit there. The exhibit leaves Atlanta on July 5th. The Library is gracious enough to let us come in and use the space and charge us nothing. So close to July 4th, the nation and city will be focusing on liberty, etc. I am very excited about this opportunity because it separates us from the traditional bar scene we all lament so much.
Thanks to one of our members, Mandy Holton, Home Depot has agreed to be a sponsor for this event. That means Some highlights:
* Home Depot will underwrite the "complimentary drink promotion." This means that every guest gets a complimentary drink. We'll try to provide some light appetizers as well.
* Cash Bar (beer and wine) will be available.
* Home Depot will provide a bunch of door prizes for this event (gift cards, etc.).
* A copy of the Declaration of Independence will be on display and other portions of the Carter Library grounds will be accessible. This is one of the 200 original copies of the Declaration of Independence. TV producer, director Norman Lear paid over $8 million for this gem. There will be other items worth viewing as well.
* Parking is Free at the Library. So, guests will be saving a little there.
* Home Depot Public Relations may pitch this to the media, so don't be surprised if our club receives some positive coverage.

Downtown Rocks @ "Baker Street Park"
FRI, JUNE 28 5:30p

IF DOWNTOWN'S A-ROCKIN', PLEASE COME A-WALKIN'
We continue to bring you free live bands, playing al fresco at Baker Street Park in downtown Atlanta for Downtown Rocks. And we hope you continue to enjoy them. This week's lineup features Papa Roach, Blackeyed Peas and Minamina Goodsong. Weird Al Yankovic will not be there. The gates open up at 5:30PM and the curtain rises at 6:45PM, though there is no curtain, technically. So it's a figure of speech.

To get to Downtown Rocks, take MARTA to the Civic Center Station, go south two blocks on West Peachtree Place and left on Centennial Olympic Park Drive. It's off of Simpson Street, on the right. Look for all the people. When you see a huge bunch of people standing around downtown Atlanta it's either a) the Olympics or b) this thing. And the Olympics are real over. Make sure to leave all pets, booze, bikes, chairs, backpacks, food, cameras and coolers at home. In other words, you can't munch on a pack full of snacks and sip an ice cold martini whilst taking a picture of Fido riding a bike.

Gates open at 5:30PM
Minamina Goodsong : 6:45 - 7:30 PM
Black Eyed Peas : 8:00 - 9:00 PM
Papa Roach : 9:30 - 11:00 PM
