An Evening with Sonny Rollins @ The Rialto
Vibrantly expressive and Herculean in his intensity, legendary saxophonist
Sonny Rollins is one the giants of modern jazz. At an age when most
musicians would be content to tread water, Rollins enters his sixth
decade as a professional musician in resplendent form. When he picks
up the tenor saxophone, the world listens. For nearly half a century,
he has played music with the majesty of a Greek god. The favorite
saxophonist of John Coltrane and many others, today Rollins remains
one of the few surviving icons from a golden era of jazz, probably
never to be equaled.

The Producers @ Fox Theatre
Based on Mr. Brooks' Academy Award-winning
1968 film of the same name, THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS musical
is the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock
and Leo Bloom , a mousy accountant. Together they hatch the ultimate
scam: raise more money than you need for a sure-fire Broadway flop
and pocket the difference. Their "sure-fire" theatrical
fiasco? . . . None other than the musical Springtime for Hitler.
THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS musical, has set a record, receiving
12 American Theatre Wing Tony Awards®, more than any other production
in the history of the awards. THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS
musical surpassed the record of 10 Tonys set by Hello, Dolly! in
