Maundy Thursday Tenebrae @ NAPC
7:00 p.m. Tenebrae Service of Darkness The word tenebrae
is Latin for shadows. This service is lit only by candlelight,
with each candle being extinguished after each reading. The final
reading, a passage from Psalm 22 quoted by Jesus on the cross, prompts
the final candle to be blown out and the congregation leaves in
silence. Join us on Maundy Thursday for this recreation of the betrayal,
agony, and abandonment of Jesus. Then visit us again on Easter Sunday
to finish the story!

Orchestra Baobab @ The Rialto
Senegals legendary Orchestra Baobab,
reunited after a fifteen-year hiatus, have lost none of the magic
that made them one of the most exciting world music groups ever.
Formed in Dakar in 1970, the group embraced a fusion of African
and Cuban styles including pachanga, salsa and cha cha cha. First
they ruled the roost at the Baobab club. Word spread throughout
the country and then quickly around the world. Today their music
is imbued with the energy and camaraderie of the friends who gathered
nightly around the club Baobab to make fabulous music.

The Producers @ Fox Theatre
Based on Mr. Brooks' Academy Award-winning
1968 film of the same name, THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS musical
is the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock
and Leo Bloom , a mousy accountant. Together they hatch the ultimate
scam: raise more money than you need for a sure-fire Broadway flop
and pocket the difference. Their "sure-fire" theatrical
fiasco? . . . None other than the musical Springtime for Hitler.
THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS musical, has set a record, receiving
12 American Theatre Wing Tony Awards®, more than any other production
in the history of the awards. THE PRODUCERS, the new MEL BROOKS
musical surpassed the record of 10 Tonys set by Hello, Dolly! in
1964. Ticket Prices: $20.00 - $62.00
