Bachelor and Bachelorette Auction @ King Plow 6p
Atlanta has a "reality" show of its own... A real fundraiser
for a real cause! Join B98.5's Kelly & Alpha as they auction
some of Atlanta's most eligible bachelors AND bachelorettes, including
their own news personality, Christy Henry! In addition to Christy,
corporate executives, a surgeon, and even a local actor are among
the cat-walkers. Mixer and silent auction 6pm-7pm.
Live auction begins at 7:00. General admission tickets are $25 or
$100 for a stageside table for four. Tickets at the door are $35

March of Dimes Dining Out Event
Time is running out! Buy a table for 10 or purchase individual tickets
and treat yourself to delectable dishes during the March of Dimes
Dining Out at a variety of Atlanta’s finest dining spots on
Friday, May 9; all while helping the Georgia Chapter of the March
of Dimes raise awareness and funds to combat premature births and
other birth defects. Featured restaurants (list below) host a dinner,
including food, wine and service, for a party of 10 invited guests
and donate the proceeds to the March of Dimes. Don’t miss this
opportunity to indulge for a good cause. Participants will be charged
$50, $85 or $125 per person, depending on restaurant chosen (fee
includes gratuity). If you cannot make it to one of Atlanta’s
60 participating eateries for dinner, don’t worry. This year
the March of Dimes has individual tickets on sale for the “Sweet
Temptations Dessert Dance” and silent auction at the Four Seasons
Hotel. Individual tickets for the “Sweet Temptations Dessert
Dance” are on sale for $75.

Vera Bila is one of the greatest singers in the Eastern European
gypsy tradition, swinging through concerts with her melodic blend
of guitars, bass, tambourine and a wonderful five-part vocal harmony.
Vera and her group Kale come from a small gypsy village in the Czech
Republic and, as with most of the villagers, all of the band members
are related. Vera has been singing since her childhood, yet she
was discovered only a few years ago and signed to a major international
label. Since then she and Kale have released three acclaimed CDs
and Vera has earned the titles Queen of Romany and the Ella Fitzgerald
of Gypsy Music.
Tickets for Vera Bila and Kale are on sale now at the Rialto Center

from $20-$40, and discounts are available for groups and Georgia
State University students, faculty and staff.

Mother's Day Brunch @ Hilton Atlanta (Garden Terrace)
The Garden Terrace restaurant in the lobby of the downtown Hilton
Atlanta will offer its traditional Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday,
May 11, with seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. A rose will
be presented to every mother, and pianist June Noble will perform.
The brunch will include a complimentary glass of champagne for adults
along with carving, omelet, crêpe and Belgian waffle stations
and an assortment of buffet items. The brunch is $29 for adults
and $14.95 for children ages 5-12. Children under 5 are complimentary.
