Theatrical Outfit Presents “Hank Williams: Lost Highway” @ Balzer Theatre at Herren’s

Theatrical Outfit opened its new theater home at 84 Luckie Street in December and is launching its fourth show in as many months in this compact inaugural season. Straight from a wildly successful Off-Broadway run, Theatrical Outfit presents a new musical about this Southern legend. This show received fabulous reviews in New York and is sure to be a hot property for major theaters across the country. See it first on the Balzer Theater stage.

The newly renovated space in the former Herren's Restaurant building is a state-of-the-art, 200-seat theater that has been designed to meet the highest levels of patron comfort, energy efficiency and environmentally sensitive design.
Theatrical Outfit is a not for profit 501 (c) 3 organization supported by private and public funding along with ticket sales revenue. Major support is provided by the Fulton County Commission through the Fulton County Arts Council, City of Atlanta, Bureau of Cultural Affairs, the Georgia general Assembly through the Georgia Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

An exploration of the virtually unknown design works by significant Minimalist and post-Minimalist artists including: Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Joel Shapiro, Barbara Bloom, Rachel Whiteread, and many more... Curated by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the exhibition is the first by an American museum to feature functional objects by these artists.

Fenay Cruz's son Charlie was born in Puerto Rico and raised in the U.S. At a young age, while living in New Jersey, Charlie Cruz was strongly influenced by salsa. Soon the enthusiastic teenager started participating as a vocalist in his father's band. Back in Puerto Rico, Charlie Cruz joined Domingo Quiñones' collective act in 1996. After taking singing lessons, the artist debuted with Imagínate, an album produced by Sergio George. The following records, Magia de Amor and Presentimiento, consolidated his career. Named one of the Puerto Rico's best salsa performers, Charlie Cruz released Asi Soy in the year 2000.
