A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum @ Shakespeare Tavern
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart
Featuring Clark Taylor as Pseudolus and Jeff McKerley as Hysterium
Directed by Heidi Cline
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution called it “the best theatrical offering currently playing on an Atlanta stage … Shot through with energy and imagination, this Forum is comedy at its best.” You begged for its return. After last season’s record breaking run, The Shakespeare Tavern will once again cook up a whole lot of “Comedy Tonight” bringing the music and comic genius of Stephen Sondheim back to 499 Peachtree Street. Delight in the antics of the servant Pseudolus as he attempts to earn his freedom by winning the hand of a lovely courtesan for his lovesick master. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is the perfect treat to close our 15th anniversary season. It will keep your face smiling and your toes tapping. Get your tickets while you can!

7:30 PM Thursdays through Sundays with additional performances at 7:30 PM Wednesday, June 16 & 23 and Saturday, June 26 at 2:00 PM
