SciTrek Summer Camp @ SciTrek
SciTrek summer camp sessions inspire and educate campers in a hands-on fun environment. Throughout the summer, campers participate in theme based science and technology projects led by museum staff and experienced camp counselors. We have a number of exciting topics planned this summer including Crime Investigation 101, Gross Anatomy, Claymation, Planet Patrol, the Science of Story Telling, and many more. The majority of the sessions are week-long; however, one day sessions are being offered on June 11th, 12th, 13th, 30th and July 1st and 2nd. Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats @ SciTrek
“Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats” (a new traveling exhibit) brings the mystery surrounding bats out of the dark. The exhibition, with concurrent tours in the United States, Mexico and Europe, dispels popular misconceptions about bats, describes their ecological importance and gives visitors an appreciation of the true wonders of the bat world. Special effects, multi-sensory interactive displays, a Gothic castle and environmentally lifelike settings such as caves and rain forests present bats in mythic and real-life settings. Since that time, his exploits have been regularly featured in the magazine. This campy musical tells Bat Boy’s side of the story. Learn about his discovery in a cave in Hope Falls, West Virginia, his attempts to mainstream into society, his search for love, and of course his unfortunate and misunderstood tragic flaw - an addiction to drinking blood.

Beginning June 26, more than 150 life-size cows painted by local artists will graze on the Park’s lush lawns for three days as part of the CowParade. From noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, the cows will spend their last hours as one of the main attractions at the Park’s “Great Outdoors” Family Fun Day, before they are moved to their summer homes in public and private locations throughout Atlanta. At the free Fun Day mini-festival you can paint, plant flowers, make arts and crafts, play games, get an up-close view of wild animals, even make your own T-shirt!

The gala will be held on the evening of Saturday, June 28, 2003 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
