The Middle Passage @ GA Pacific Building 7p

SankofaSpirit in conjunction with the Heritage Club presents "The Middle Passage". It was the route between Africa and the New World that carried slaves to exchange for sugar and tobacco. It was the sea that carried a human cargo, and a resting place for thousands who would not survive the journey. The story is told by an African slave whose spirit haunts the ocean route. Sold into slavery by a tribal king, he is shackled and transported on a journey shared with some six hundred souls. A journey barely half would survive. Free and open to the public. Marta Accessible (Peachtree Center/Library Exit) ~ Parking Available on July Wesley Dobbs. About SankofaSpirit is a non-profit dedicated to promoting and celebrating the heritage of people of African descent working as a collective to rekindle, reclaim, and reconnect with our great legacy.
