Actor's Express and Dad's Garage Halloween Party @ Eyedrum Gallery
8p
We're throwing this monstrous bash because we're theatre people
and Halloween's a great excuse to get in costume. No, but seriously
- this event functions as a fundraiser for both theatres.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance for $25. Includes
unlimited drinks with each ticket and all the ghoulin' and carnival
games you can handle.
The party will be catered by La Paz (Southwestern faire). There
will be a raffle with items ranging from massage certificates to
unique furniture pieces to airline tickets; carnival games, kissing
booths, tattoo booths; live music; special guest appearances by
Hedwig (Mark Salyer) and Matt Chapman (creator of Homestar Runner);
and our personal favorite-we are auctioning off a date with each
of our Artistic Directors, Sean Daniels and Jasson Minadakis. Use
them any way you wish!

2003 Georgia Craft Brew Challenge @
Max Lager's
Georgia's craft brewers are going head-to-head to see whose beer
reigns supreme in Georgia. Come see who wins and try them all at
a Halloween-themed festival. Over 40 beers from Georgia's craft
brewers will be on tap in one place for the first time, including

The

a grassroots consumer movement to update Georgia's legal definition
of beer to allow all the different styles of beer from around the
world to be sold in Georgia. They have a bill that has passed the
GA House and will be taken up by the Senate in January. In the meantime,
they're putting on a series of events to raise funds and awareness.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; for more information

Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles & FalCAN Food Drive
@ GA DOME 4:15p
The Falcons will host the Philadelphia Eagles
at the Georgia Dome for the first time since the 1998 Super Bowl
season when the Falcons defeated the Eagles, 17-12. The Eagles ended
the Falcons 2002 season last year with a 20-6 win the NFC Divisional
Playoff game at Veterans Stadium.
The Atlanta Falcons are helping to sack hunger
again, and you can help! The sixth annual FalCAN Drive is scheduled
on November 2, 2003 when the Falcons take on the Philadelphia Eagles
at the Georgia Dome. Fans bring canned foods and non-perishable
food items to the game and help beat hunger with the Falcons and
the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Volunteers will be collecting the
items on Falcon Landing and other well-marked locations surrounding
the Georgia Dome. Did you forget your cans? Wives of the Atlanta
Falcons will be collecting monetary donations inside the gates of
the Georgia Dome. All proceeds will to be donated to the Atlanta
Community Food Bank. Through your support, the Atlanta Community
Food Bank will help their 700 nonprofit partners feed thousands
of children, seniors and adults in need. There are over 1,000,000
people living in poverty in Georgia. That is over 14 sold out games
at the Georgia Dome! The Atlanta Community Food Bank provides almost
14 million pounds of food a year to non-profit organizations feeding
people in need. Every dollar given to ACFB can help create six meals
for people in need - the FalCAN Drive helps tremendously! The ACFB
relies on community support for storage space, equipment, services
and supplies.
