Tax planning opportunities for entry into the EU @ WTCA
Please
join us at World Trade Center Atlanta on Wednesday, November
10, 2004, at 5:00 oclock p.m., for a presentation by Peter
Kirpensteijn, an internationally-recognized tax attorney from The
Netherlands, a partner at Udink & De Jong in The Hague, The
Netherlands. Mr. Kirpensteijn will discuss tax planning opportunities
for entry into the European Union, focusing on certain EU Community
regulations and the use of a Dutch entity as a gateway to the EU.
He will also present a briefing regarding the new U.S./Netherlands
tax treaty, highlighting significant differences between this treaty
and its predecessor.
Mr. Kirpensteijn will be joined in his presentation by William M.
Poole, a shareholder at the law firm of Epstein Becker & Green,
P.C., whose practice focuses primarily upon corporate and tax structuring
of transnational business transactions and investments.
Udink & De Jong and Epstein Becker & Green are both members
of the International Lawyers Network, which has member firms in
more than 55 countries around the world and in 40 cities in the
United States.
A cocktail reception with light hors doeuvres, hosted by the

TO LIGHT CENTENNIAL PARK THIS WEEKEND!Centennial Olympic Park will
be kicking off the holiday season soon and you can help make it
happen! A great way to get into a festive frame of mind is to volunteer
to help decorate the Park on Saturday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov.
14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers will be stringing lights on
the shrubbery throughout the Park to create the enormous Holiday
in Lights display. Individual volunteers are welcome or share the
experience by volunteering as a group. Make it a celebratory outing
by volunteering with your department, family or friends. If your
group can't make it on Nov. 13 or 14, call the Park to arrange a
better time.
Holiday in Lights will be bigger than ever this year. From November
to January the lights will be on display, and volunteers can feel
pride knowing they helped bring cheer to all visitors of the Park.
