Weezer ROCKS Underground Atlanta
Despite the inclement weather, Cake kicked off the opening weekend of 99X's Downtown ROCKS in a GRAND FASHION (nugget). This week the downtownATL Rock 'n Roll Lifestyle continues with another free concert. Weezer headlines along with The Bravery & The Dead 60's.

Underground Atlanta is also the hub of this year's Heritage Arts Festival "Soaring To New Heights in 2005". Local as well as national artists will be showcased, and you will have the opportunity to meet the talented artists and discuss their work. The daily entertainment lineup includes smooth jazz from some of the best jazz performers Atlanta has to offer.

Downtown ROCKS: Weezer, The Bravery & The Dead 60's

After taking their show on the road to Stone Mountain, 99X is bringing their summer concert series back to city center. DOWNTOWN ROCKS AGAIN! Everything Alternative 99X presents Downtown Rocks @ Underground. They're taking over Underground Atlanta every Saturday Night from 7-11PM July 9th- August 13th. The best part? The concerts are FREE!

Not to mention that Underground Atlanta features 8 NEW clubs in Kenny's Alley where you can party and bring drinks from bar to bar until as late as four in the morning for you night owls. Mark your calendars now and plan to spend your Saturday nights downtown this Summer!

MARTA is HIGHLY recommended. The massive performance stage, built exclusively for the 99X series, will be located just a short walk from the Five Points MARTA station at the intersection of Upper Alabama and Pryor Streets and will feature live music from 7PM to 11PM, each Saturday.

Flicks on 5th: Office Space
@ GA Tech's Centergy Plaza   Wednesday, July 13th 9p
Georgia Tech's Technology Square hosts Flicks on 5th, a free outdoor movie series, this summer at Centergy Plaza, 75 5th Street in Midtown. The movies begin at sunset (approximately 9:00 pm) and will be held every Wednesday, rain or shine, through July 27. Complimentary popcorn will be served and limited seating provided.
Heritage Arts Festival / National Black Arts Festival

Artist Market, spoken word, musical artists, a film festival and a Youth Artist Market will all be a part of this celebration of African American culture. Be sure to mark your calendars, you won't want to miss these 10 days of art, culture and entertainment. Great Decisions: Putin's Second Term - Scorecard for Russia

The Great Decisions is the oldest and largest grassroots world affairs educational program of its kind. Participants receive an annual publication from the Foreign Policy Association that serves as the basic component of all Great Decisions programs. The briefing book places the thematic or geographic issues covered in historical context and provides background, current policies and alternative policy options.

Tonight's discussion is on Putin's Second Term - A Scorecard for Russia. Under Vladimir Putin, Russia has been shaping its image as a power in Europe and Asia. Putin, in turn, is reshaping Russia by centralizing authority within the federal government. Are Putin's reforms a step backward for Russian democracy? How will Russia overcome the real challenges of terrorism and a struggling economy?

Summer Film Festival: "Sahara"
