Franklin has made the shortlist for the title of "World Mayor 2005." More
than 550 Mayors from Asia, Africa, Europe and The Americas were initially
nominated for the 2005 World Mayor Award. The final short list for World
Mayor 2005 consists of 65 mayors from Europe, The Americas, Asia,
Australia and Africa. All 65 mayors on the short list are invited to
contribute a ‘manifesto’ describing steps taken to make their cities more
liveable.
