On Friday, honor the dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with The Hushbox and kick off the holiday weekend with a truly multi-cultural celebration based on the content of our characters and not the color of our skins. downtownATL's own Erich Starrett is an honorary host for this event, so break out your most refined threads and your sexy stilettos and join us at Formosa. The experience begins at 10pm with the sophisticated live sounds of Atlanta's own SEEK and culminates with the Global Grooves of CHA CHA JONES. This elegant evening will provide the uptown metropolitan crowd with the civilized and exclusive ambiance required for intimate conversations and connections of all kinds.

On Saturday the annual MLK, Jr. Salute to Greatness Awards dinner will take place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta. The Annual Salute to Greatness Awards Dinner is The King Center's primary fundraising initiative. The Center's Salute to Greatness Award is presented at the dinner to recognize national and/or international individuals and organizations that exemplify excellence in their leadership and a strong sense of social responsibility. Bono, the lead singer of U2, and Robert J. Ulrich, Chairman and CEO of the Target Corporation, are this year's honorees.
