We are back from vacation (missed y'all!) and just in time for festival season in the A-T-L!

This Friday head over to King Plow for the Square Hatter's Friday Night Party
. This posh art gallery is the pefect venue for an evening of socializing, dancing, art gazing, fundraising and relaxation. $10 Cover includes a round for the first 300 guests and light hors d'oeuvres. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Dekalb Rape Crisis Center.

Wake up early on Saturday because there's a fun way you can help out the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhod Festival! A group (which could include you!) is meeting at Blue Cloud Coffee at 9:30 a.m. to distribute festival fliers, zipping about putting them up in locations around intown. The 2nd Annual Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Festival will take place on Broad and Walton Streets in downtown Atlanta on Saturday, May 17 through Sunday, May 18. Volunteers are still needed for the festival, so if you are interested in helping out, please email downtownjen@bellsouth.net for more information.

After that, at 12:00 p.m. (noon), we will converge again at Blue Cloud and head off to support our neighbors at the Inman Park Festival which
features a street market offering a range of items including antiques and crafts, plus a juried arts and crafts show. There will be plenty of live music, children's activities, and the Inman Park Dance Festival.

The 'hoods are HOPPIN' this weekend with yet another neighborhood festival taking place on Saturday: the Sweet Auburn Festival.
This year's theme is "Gathering of Generations." Venues include an Urban Film Festival, The Crowning of Ms. Sweet Auburn, A Technolgy Expo, a hugh Children's Fantastic Fun Zone, Health Fair, International Craft Market, and foods from around the world.

On Sunday we are planning to head over to Centennial Olympic Park to watch Tour de Georgia
, on the last day of a six-day, professional cycling stage race that aims to become America’s premier cycling event. There will be a variety of activities in Centennial Olympic Park such as a hospitality tent, a healthy lifestyle expo, and an artists market.

Have a wonderful week and have fun planning your weekend! There are other events going on this week...for more events please check out our website at www.downtownatl.com.

We hope to see y'all real soon downtownATL!
