"Alfred Hitchhike's SOUTH by SOUTHEAST" @ Agatha's Mystery
Dinner Theatre
Nita Hardy's hilarious spoof of Alfred Hitchcock movies returns
to Agatha's for an encore presentation! Deception and silliness
abound as Roger Hornthrill (a.k.a. Cary Grunt) is pursued by predatory
blonds, birds and bad guys - with a detour to the Bates Motel! Join
us for the sidesplitting take on the master of suspense "Alfred
Hitchhkes's SOUTH by SOUTHEAST". This deliciously funny take
on the master of suspense starts favorite leading man Cary Grunt
and features a bevy of blonde co-stars from movies past - including
Eva Marie Sinner, Tipsi Headspin, Doris Mayday and Vera Mileage.
"Hitch" himself sets the stage in the comfy club car of
the Southern Loon Unlimited, but it quickly becomes a "psycho"
train ride as wronged man Roger Hornthrill (a.k.a. Cary Grunt) gets
framed for the murder of tennis star Andre Odyssey. As always at
Agatha's, the audience participates in the action in the comic murder
mystery. Each night, the entire audience has a chance to die laughing
between 5 courses of dinner including hor d'oeuvres, a choice of
entree' and very cheap wine with the meal. JOIN THE FUN AND FIND
THE MURDERER!! IT MIGHT EVEN BE YOU!

The
Acquired Taste of Gewurztraminer @ City Grill
City Grill is pleased to present a tasting of one of the most social
wines in the world on July 20, 2005. Experience the unreserved body
of Gewurztraminer as speaker Michael O'Connor of Empire Distributors
entertains questions throughout the event. The restaurant will offer
a sampling of light hors d'oeuvres to compliment these memorable
wines. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a social gathering
for $19 per person including wine tasting and tapas.
Like Lucille Ball, Gewurztraminer is a little eccentric in a lovable
way. Though gewurz means spice in German, the kitchen spice rack
is not what they have in mind. Rather, the wine is spicy in the
sense that its aromas are perfumed and its flavors are saucy, bold,
and extroverted. Lychee nuts, gingerbread, vanilla, grapefruit,
smoke, minerals, and honeysuckle do not simply rest in the glass-they
rage about in it.
The French love the big Technicolor fruitiness of Gewurztraminer
and will use it to sautÈ foie gras and even top plebeian
sauerkraut with it. It is often paired with spicy foods and can
be made in styles that range from completely dry to semi-dry. The
wine can also be made in a late harvest dessert wine that is delicious.
This is especially true in Alsace where they believe that Gewurztraminer
-if this is possible-gets even bigger flavored with age. "Prost!
Gew¸rztraminer means good grapes, good friends and good cheer!"
Wines that will be featured:
" Avery Lane, Gew¸rztraminer, Washington State, Oregon
" Ventana, Gew¸rztraminer, Monterey County, California
" Martinelli, ëEarly Harvest' Gew¸rztraminer, Russian
River, California
" Fetzer, ëValley Oaks' Gew¸rztraminer, California
" Domaine Schlumberger, ëFleur' Gew¸rztraminer,
Alsace, FranceCity Grill will feature Gewurztraminer wines on the
wine list throughout the entire month of July. The wines will also
be paired with complimentary dishes on the Chef's Tasting Menu on
July 20th for those who would like to experience a meal dedicated
to the delights of Gewurztraminer. Those who attend both the tasting
and The Chef's Tasting Menu will receive the total package for only
$75.00 all-inclusive. Chef Daniel Zoby will graciously prepare alternative
selections for those who have special dietary needs. Reservations
are suggested and may be made by calling 404-524-2489 or accessing
