Hello Crew! This edition marks the initial launch of downtownATL.com's NEW newsletter format! We've worked really hard with Jordan Crowl from Top Dog Multimedia to come up with this new look and we would LOVE to hear what you think! Thank you to the downtownATL staff, as well as the many contributors, promoters, and volunteers who made this project possible.

We've got a GREAT weekend ahead of us too! Tonight The Atlanta Hawks play the New York Knicks at Philips Arena ...followed by a special post game concert by Drivin' and Cryin!

Do you dig technology? How 'bout cleaning cobwebs? Then we've got just the volunteer opp for you! The downtownATL.com staff is heading up a "Hands on Atlanta - Technology Service Day" project at downtown favorite Sci-Trek. We will be updating the software and cleaning out the cobwebs (yes, literally! with "canned air") on 30+ PCs. We still have a few spots left! Contact Erich - downtownATL@bellsouth.net - for more info. A BIG Thanks to Max Lager's for supplying a couple of pints of their premium brew to our volunteers! ASIMO (oss-E-moh) - the super high tech Honda robot - will be on site hangin' with us as well!

On Saturday night, join us for Karma's Last Dance as we bid farewell to Karma - a downtown staple for the late night crowd for 5+ years!!! C'mon down to celebrate with Pablo and his staff as they bid farewell to the old, and make way for the new...details coming soon!

Be sure to enough zzz's that you can put on your walkin' shoes and hit Turner Field by noon Sunday to join in the Atlanta Community Food Bank's 19th Annual Hunger Walk/Run!

On Monday the green beer flows from downtown's favorite spot for seafood - McCormick & Schmick's in honor of St. Patty's Day. Get there for happy hour to enjoy a wide array of incredible appetizers for under $2 as you enjoy your cocktails to the billowing sounds of the bagpiper!
