Happy "hump day"! Celebrate making it to the middle of the week
with the "Hump
Day Getaway" at Spice - an after work event in which they provide
a relaxed atmosphere that promotes networking and professional growth
for professionals and entrepreneurs from all over the Atlanta metropolitan
area.
If you'd like to take it up a notch and go for a full blown wine dinner,
the City Grill is your spot! For this, their "Pinot
Envy" dinner, Winemaker Patricia Green will be on hand to discuss
her wonderful Pinot Noirs that Chef Graham Duncan, Robyn McArthur, and
Bill Lipscomb have paired with an outstanding 4 course menu.
Starting today through Saturday you can c'mon down and "check your
insides out" as the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation presents
"The Colossal Colon" in Woodruff Park - a 40-foot long,
4-foot high crawl-through replica of the human colon! This free exhibit
is part of March National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and also features
nine additional hands-on, interactive family friendly activity stations
to learn more about bein' a healthy human bein'.
On Thursday the World Trade Center of Atlanta hosts "Water
for Life" a wine tasting reception to benefit WaterPartners International.
The event includes FREE parking at SunTrust Plaza.
Put on your running shoes Saturday morning and join us for the 7th
Annual Downtown Dash for Diabetes! Tiffany Cochran from 11Alive and
SiMan Baby from 102.5 FM Classic Soul will be on hand in downtown Atlanta's
Hurt Park (near GSU) at 7:45 a.m. and the starting gun fires at 9:00.
This fundraising event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile course. The
5K course goes past the Capitol and through Historic Oakland Cemetery!
