Grab your bucket of
popcorn and head downtownATL...both the Atlanta Film Festival and the
Coca-Cola Film Festival are in full swing this week!
The 27th Annual
Atlanta Film Festival features premiere screenings of independent
film and video, informative seminars, panel discussions and guest appearances
by filmmakers, video artists, and media professionals from around the
world. Festival jury members will award over $100,000 in cash and in-kind
prizes, and winners in the short film category are eligible for Academy
Award® consideration. See our
calendar for full information...
The Coca-Cola Film Festival is truly the best way to see the Fox Theatre
as seen by those who came on opening day in 1929. While the orchestra
and dancers are long gone, audiences can still experience the magic of
the Fox's "Mighty Mo" organ and the tradition of the sing-a-long
that takes place before each film. Each Film Festival features a combination
of current and classic films, truly something for every movie-goer. See
this week's calendar for full information...
On Friday, develop one of your other senses at Star 94's On
the Bricks summer concert series @ Centennial Olympic Park. Third
Day, Sky Dog, Pete Schmidt, and Dial 8 will be performing. Gates open
at 5:30 p.m. and music begins at 6:00 p.m.
Have a great week and we hope to see you real soon downtownATL! There are other events going on this week...for more events please
