FEATURED
EVENT: On the Bricks - FRIDAY
|
|
We're back!
We took last week off because we wore ourselves out in Chicago! That's
right, over the 4th of July weekend, the downtownATL.com staff took a
much needed vacation to the city known for deep dish pizzas and hot dogs.
It does feel good to be back in Atlanta though...especially with all of
the really exciting events going on this week!
On Friday evening, Lunatique
will be hosting a wine tasting event, featuring samples from J. Lohr
Vineyards. After that, head over to Centennial Olympic Park in order to
catch Wyclef Jean live
in concert. Can you believe that it is only $3.00 to get in?!?
After the bricks, join the downtownATL.com staff and 500 other people
at the Velvet Room for "Cocktails for a Cause", benefitting
The Giving Kind. A $20 donation will mean an open bar from 8:00 p.m. until
11:00 p.m., free food, champange toasts, Q100 Live from the Bar with Tracy
St. George and DJ Mike B, and a fashion show . Listen to Q100 for more
information. The Giving Kind has hosted events for the past three years
in order to raise money so that underpriviledged children from Atlanta
can attend summer camp.
On Sunday, hit King Plow for Atlanta
Magazine's "Hair Affair." It
is the perfect opportunity to check out the latest hairstyles, designed
by more than 15 of Atlanta's top stylists. The hottest colors, cuts, and
styles will be showcased on models in a catwalk-style show. What is the
latest wearable and sellable hair in Atlanta? You'll have to attend to
find out!
There are many other events going on this week...for more information,
please check out our website at www.downtownatl.com.
We hope to see y'all real soon downtownATL!
